Thelwell Group Development is a purpose-driven real estate development firm specializing in urban infill housing, mixed-use placemaking, and strategic commercial acquisitions across Brockton, Greater Boston, and high-growth gateway cities. 


Founded in 2024, the firm was created to seize the tremendous opportunity emerging in cities experiencing revitalization, population growth, and increased demand for well-designed urban living.

Our work sits at the intersection of community insight, zoning expertise, and disciplined development practice. With a deep understanding of municipal planning, land use, and entitlement strategy, Thelwell Group identifies underutilized parcels and transforms them into productive, high-quality developments that support long-term neighborhood stability and economic growth.


A core part of our mission is providing housing where young professionals can thrive, afford to live, and become part of the communities we help shape. We believe that when young professionals are encouraged to live, contribute, and grow within gateway cities and emerging neighborhoods, they elevate the local economy, strengthen culture, and drive sustainable urban momentum. Our developments aim to invite that growth — creating attainable, well-designed homes that empower people to make the city their own. While Brockton is our home and foundational market, our vision extends beyond a single city. We are building a regional footprint focused on markets that are primed for expansion, particularly those benefiting from transit access, shifting demographics, and renewed investment.

Isaiah Thelwell — Founder & Principal

Thelwell Group Development was established in 2024 by Isaiah Thelwell, a real estate professional and emerging developer committed to shaping Brockton’s future through bold, intentional, and community-focused urban development.


As a real estate professional, zoning strategist, and civic leader, Isaiah brings a unique blend of municipal insight, market understanding, and mission-driven purpose to every project.

Isaiah began his career as a real estate agent, gaining firsthand exposure to the needs and aspirations of local buyers, sellers, and especially young professionals seeking attainable, high-quality urban housing. 


His time in the City of Brockton’s Planning & Economic Development Department further strengthened his expertise in zoning, land use, and the municipal entitlement process, providing him with a full-picture understanding of how development can shape a city’s growth.  Isaiah supported the administrative side of major development proposals across the city, including projects collectively representing millions in private investment and significant new housing creation. This experience gave him a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes understanding of how impactful projects move through the public process 


In addition to his development work, Isaiah serves as President and Chairman of the Greater Brockton Young Professionals, a regional organization dedicated to empowering emerging leaders, strengthening civic engagement, and fostering economic opportunity for the next generation. This role reflects his broader commitment: to build cities where young professionals can thrive, contribute, and take ownership of their community’s future.


A core part of Isaiah’s development philosophy is creating housing and mixed-use environments that invite young professionals to put down roots in gateway cities — supporting local economies, adding vitality to urban neighborhoods, and driving sustainable long-term growth.


As Principal Developer, Isaiah leads Thelwell Group through every stage of the real estate lifecycle, from acquisition and entitlement to financing, construction oversight, and final delivery. His focus is on delivering impactful infill housing, placemaking mixed-use projects, and strategic commercial acquisitions across Brockton, Greater Boston, and other high-growth urban markets.
